About Me...

Crystal Margaret McLean

Counsellor & Sex Therapist

Hi I’m Crystal, I am a qualified and experienced counsellor who is passionate about helping people move forward and find meaning in their lives.

I love what I do! Seeing clients enhance their quality of life and developing insight and identifying solutions to the issues they face, is what gets me up in the morning. I enjoy working with diverse ethnicities, religions, sexualities and professions.

I have walked my own path to self-discovery, this experience enables me to understand and provide tools to support others who face challenges in their lives.

I have extensive background in Drug & Alcohol addiction and was a senior counsellor at Capri Hospital which was a large private treatment facility. I have also worked in other Addiction facilities such as The Turning Point and CADS based in Auckland.

I participate in ongoing professional development and pride myself in keeping up with the latest trends, theories and approaches in therapeutic practices. Each client's needs are different and require a personalised therapeutic plan to fit their needs.

Work with me through the difficult times and be the person you have always wanted to be!

Covid has had a huge impact on peoples lives, lots of fears and worries on how their future is going to look. It was during these times my counselling sessions were based only via video or phone calls. I still continue to offer this service which enables me to now take on new clients who live outside of Auckland and in some cases overseas. Video sessions are also beneficial for my clients as they don’t have the travelling times to and from consults and can be n the comfort of their own environments.
